The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) announced it will hold a public hearing to take public comment regarding the proposed consolidation of the Walkerton BMV branch, located at 302 Roosevelt Road in Walkerton into the Nappanee BMV branch, located at 219 West Market Street in Nappanee.
BMV representatives will be in attendance to receive public comment in support of or in opposition to the proposed consolidation. The Public Hearing will be held at the Walkerton-Lincoln Township Public Library located at 406 Adams Street in Walkerton. The hearing will take place on Wednesday, October 13 at 6:00 p.m.
The public is invited to provide comment at the hearing or submit written comment to bmvpublichearing@bmv.in.gov. Those wishing to have their emailed comments made part of the record need to submit them by 11:59 p.m. on October 13.
All BMV representatives and the public will be expected to adhere to CDC health and safety guidelines while in attendance at the hearing. If the meeting space in the Walkerton Public Library reaches maximum capacity respecting social distancing needs, individuals will be asked to wait in line for an opportunity to share comment.
