The 12th annual Falloween Fest at John Glenn High School kicks off Tonight at 4 p.m. with the North American Midway Entertainment Carnival and then at 5:30 the Grand Parade through Walkerton.

This is a fundraiser for the school corporation and the proceeds raised are given back to senior students in the form of scholarships for college and technical or trade schools.

Falloween is this Friday evening till 10:30, all day Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and it is a mini–Blueberry Festival with lots of food, rides, entertainment, sports, crafts, and fireworks. 

Every day during Falloween there will be homemade apple dumplings by the 1st Presbyterian Church, an art show and face painting in the lobby of John Glenn High School, athletic contests, the band boosters raffle, the Bus Drivers’ Pie Pantry, Farmers Market, a soup booth, and lots more. 

Friday evening consider eating dinner at Falloween with the John Glenn Athletic Department Hamburgers, brats and nachos, the Scholarship Committee Ribeye Steak Sandwiches, Band Boosters Port-a-pit chicken, Pork Chop and Pulled Pork dinner by Walkerton Epsilon Chi Tri Kappa along with your favorites like elephant ears, funnel cakes, popcorn and ice cream.    

In the entertainment tent Friday evening the band Acoustically Speaking will perform at 7:30.  On Saturday the John Glenn Show Choirs at 3, Steve Foresman Band at 5 and the Falloween Follies Variety Show in the auditorium at 7 and the Whistle Pigs will perform in the tent at 7:30. 

What every you’re looking for, you’ll find it at the John Glenn High School Falloween Fest including a giant garage sale, Break Out Rooms, fall decorations and crafts, old timers Home Run Derby, a puppet laser show, a magic show, fireworks on Saturday night, a car cruise in, petting zoo along with a kid’s tractor pull and a garden tractor show.
