After nearly 17 years with the City of Plymouth, City Engineer Rick Gaul is retiring at the end of October. 

The City of Plymouth is seeking applications for the City Engineer position. The right candidate must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and Indiana Professional Engineering license or currently working towards such. The City Engineer will work directly for the mayor but must be able to work independently under strict state and federal deadlines. To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function of the position satisfactorily.

The right candidate to fill the City Engineer position must meet an extended list of criteria which includes having a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and Indiana Professional Engineer license. Ten (10) years of previous experience is preferred. Familiarity with the City of Plymouth is a plus.  The candidate must be at least 21 years of age and have the ability to meet all Departmental hiring requirements, including passage of a drug test and medical exam.

The right candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain an Indiana Department of Transportation – ‘Employee in Responsible Charge’ Certification.
