The Indiana Department of Health announced Thursday that 5,240 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings the state’s total to 894,516 Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus.
To date, 14,308 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, which includes 50 newly reported deaths.
Marshall County had 35 new positive cases of the coronavirus on Thursday’s report from the state. No new deaths were reported, and the county’s total remains at 123. There were 71 individuals tested and the 7-day positivity rate of all tests in the county was 10.3% while the 7-day positivity rate of unique individuals in the county was 19.9%.

Hoosiers age 12 and older can receive a COVID-19 vaccine. To find a vaccination clinic near you, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211 if you do not have access to a computer or require assistance. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are accepted at most sites.
As of Thursday, a total of 3,147,716 Hoosiers are fully vaccinated.
