The Indiana Department of Health announced Wednesday that 2,952 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings the state’s total to 889,362 Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus.
To date, 14,258 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, which includes 86 deaths that occurred between Aug. 21 and Sept. 7 but were newly reported to the state.
Marshall County had 10 new positive cases bringing the county’s total to 6,968. There were no new deaths reported. Twenty-one individuals were tested and the 7-day positivity rate for all tests in the county was 10.6% and the 7-day positivity rate for unique individuals was 19.6%.

Hoosiers age 12 and older can receive a COVID-19 vaccine. To find a vaccination clinic near you, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211 if you do not have access to a computer or require assistance. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are accepted at most sites.
As of Wednesday, a total of 3,141,035 Hoosiers are fully vaccinated.
