U.S. Representative Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) released the following statement honoring the service and sacrifice of the 13 U.S. servicemembers who were killed in action in Afghanistan this week.
“As our 13 fallen servicemembers return home, including our fellow Hoosier Cpl. Humberto A. Sanchez, the American people are indebted to these heroes and to their families,” Congresswoman Walorski said. “These courageous young Americans paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Following in the long tradition of our Armed Forces, they fulfilled their duty, regardless of the cost. My prayers are with each of their families, friends, and brothers and sisters in arms as they grieve this profound loss.”
Walorski represents the 2nd Congressional District of Indiana, serving as a member of the House Ways and Means Committee and the Ranking Member of the House Ethics Committee.
