Sidewalk ProgramPlymouth Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt told Board of Public Works and Safety members last week he is looking at the 2021 Sidewalk program.  He told them there are some sidewalks on South Walnut coming up towards Lake Avenue they’ve worked on in the past but they ran out of money two years ago.  He believes they should continue with that project and finish from Lake Avenue to Peirce Street and on to South Michigan Street.

Marquardt plans to present a more complete sidewalk program at the next city meeting on March 22nd.

Board of Public Works member Duane Culp asked about sidewalks on Harrison Street.  He afraid someone is going to be hurt walking on the street.   Marquardt said the City Engineer has looked at sidewalks on Harrison said they will be quite expensive.

City Attorney Sean Surrisi said as part of the trails committee, they had Troyer Group put together a project of sidewalks from Packard Woods to Michigan Street.  He is willing to share the concept they created last year.

Marquardt suggested another Community Crossings project improving Harrison Street and the sidewalks with grant money.

No action was taken.
