Kuert Concrete at 11180 11th Road in Plymouth was granted a variance of development standards during last week’s Plymouth Board of Zoning Appeals meeting.

City Plan Consultant Ralph Booker said the company plans to construct a permanent concrete plant on their property.  To do so they needed a variance for the height of the structure.  The city standard is a maximum of 45 feet and the tower they need to construct is 70 feet tall.

Bradford Web spoke on behalf of the company and confirmed that the new plant will have a central dust collection system.  There was no correspondence from any neighboring properties.

During the public hearing there were no comments.

The Plymouth Board of Zoning Appeals approved the variance request with a vote of 3 yes votes and 1 abstention, that of Art Jacobs who works for Gibson and does work for Keurt Concrete.
