Covid 19 update_1The Indiana Department of Health announced Friday that 3,560 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 605,426 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.

Marshall County reported 28 new individuals tested positive for Covid-19 bringing the total to 5026 with covid related deaths remaining at 84. There were 79 new individuals tested for Covid-19. The 7-Day Positivity –All Tests scored 7.2 % with the 7-Day Positivity for Unique Individuals scored 21.1%

A total of 9,267 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 49 from the previous day. Another 375 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients forwhom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.

To date, 2,879,896 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 2,867,990 on Thursday. A total of 6,652,500 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26, 2020.
