The Marshall County Drainage Board and Commissioner will be on Tuesday, January 19th due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
The drainage board meeting begins at 8:30 with the election of officers and appointments to various boards.
Board members will consider a variance for Jordan Shupp of J&J Quality Meats on the Lemler-Berger Ditch. They will also consider a variance request of John Nonemaker for the H Cool Ditch north arm.
Under miscellaneous business the County Drainage Board will discuss the 2B Road drain project, Yellow River Maintenance, set meeting date for 2021 and approve maintenance contracts.
The Marshall County Commissioners will meet at 9:30 with Highway Superintendent Jason Peters presenting the bids for the 2B Road drainage project and financial commitment for the 2021 Community Crossings projects.
Janis Holiday from Older Adult Services will give her quarterly report and County Plan Director Ty Adley will seek third reading of the Solar ordinance amendment which pertains to solar farms along with an ordinance amendment to restrict shipping containers as storage units.
Marshall County Clerk Deb VanDeMark will present the maintenance contract for the Infinity Voting System and Sheriff Hassel will introduce the county’s new K9 Diesel. Other agenda items include the County Attorney and Auditor’s reports, approval of claims and the statement of 2020 revenues and expenditures.
Listed under Commissioner Items is an appointment to the Argos Public Library Board, Unsafe Building Board Appointment, Board of Development Authority appointment, MACOG appointment for private sector and chamber of commerce along with the Public Health Disaster Emergency Declaration.
The County meetings are open to the public one the second floor of the County Building. To attend one must wear a mask, take their temperature at the information desk and social distance while in attendance.
