Plymouth Community SchoolsThe Plymouth School Board shared their appreciation for the work provided from two outgoing board members during the December 1 meeting. Todd Samuelson has served on the board for the last 24 years. Robin Cupka leaves after four years and one month.

The board voted unanimously to add five additional eLearning days to the current school year. According to superintendent Andy Hartley, the additional days will help with staffing needs. There will now be two eLearning days (December 21-22) prior to the break that had been set to start December 23. There will be one additional eLearning day in January,2021; February, 2021 and March, 2021.

Classified employees will receive an increase in pay beginning in January. Additionally, there will be an increase in the corporation’s contributions to their insurance coverage.

Superintendent Hartley told the board that some events at the schools will have restrictions for the number of people attending. He said some may be limited to immediate family only.

The board will meet on the first Tuesday of the new year, January 5, 2021. Historically, the board sets the dates for the rest of the meetings at the first meeting of the new year.
