Members of the Plymouth Common Council heard the request of Clerk Treasurer Jeanine Xaver to keep her department at full staff Monday evening.
Xaver said one of her employees is moving to the Park Department while another is taking an FMLA leave.
Abby Collins will be the employee moving to take the Recreation Director’s position at the park so Xaver would like to begin the hiring process for a full time employee.
Xaver also asked to hire a part-time position while the current employee is on FMLA leave.
While Xaver hasn’t determined the rate of pay for either position, there is a range of pay that she will follow.
The Plymouth City Council unanimously approved the request.
The Council also accepted monetary donations for the Fire Department Training Town and the Safe Haven Baby Box. Beacon Credit Union donated $250 to the training tower and the Plymouth Wesleyan Church and Randy & Eleanor Danielson each gave $500 for the Baby Box.
