Tuesday morning members of the Marshall Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) conducted a virtual meeting to consider applications for two new permits and one renewal.
Local members are Jan Fisher, Brian Howard and Maria Keller. These three along with an excise officer heard the cases and voted approval of all three.
The first case was the application by Castaways Family Restaurant at 2281 North Oak Drive. They were granted a beer and wine permit for table service only. With no concerns or questions the ABC board unanimously approved the new permit.
The second application was from Las Catrina’s Mexican Restaurant at 201 West Plymouth Street in Bremen. After being open only one month, the owners requested a beer, wine and liquor permit. The restaurant is open 7 days a week and will serve a full menu of Mexican cuisine. The ABC board unanimously approved this new permit too.
The final was a renewal for Tom and Lisa Overmyer for the Argos Party Pack at 124 East Walnut Street in Argos. This was an automatic renewal since there were no violations or fines to consider.
The Marshall County Alcohol Beverage Commission meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. Meetings are typically held in the second floor meeting room of the County Building but since COVID-19 they have been conduction virtual meetings online.
