OWI_Drinking and DrivingOn Sunday, May 10th around 6:23 A.M. a caller in the 5800 block of Michigan Road advised that a truck was sitting in his driveway and requested a welfare check. When Deputy Ayala with the Marshall County Sheriff`s Department arrived 40 year old, Jose Rivera of South Bend was found to be the driver of the vehicle and was offered standardized field sobriety test. Mr. Rivera was later transported to Saint Joseph Regional Hospital for a chemical test and taken into custody. Rivera was the lodged at the Marshall County Jail and held on charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated .15% or higher and OWI-with Endangerment and was held on no bond.
