Laville wrestlers pin Pioneer
LAKEVILLE — The LaVille Lancers wrestling team defeated HNAC opponent Pioneer due to the depth of the team.
The Lancers were able to secure eight forfeits giving the team 48 points and defeating Pioneer with a final score of 54-24.
Receiving forfeits for the night were as follows: Nathan Diaz, Conner Deason, Nathan White, Haiden Wheatbrook, Matt Brown, Paul DeWitt, Caleb Tolbert, and Alex McFadden.
The Lancers wrestled five matches, and Pioneer secured four pins in those matches.
Heavyweight Tyler Studon wrestled a strong match and was able to secure a victory by pin in the first period of his match.
The Lancers wrestle this Saturday at home for the annual Mike Bottorff Invitational. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. for spectators.
