Heartland_Time_1Heartland Artists Gallery is ready for the holidays and invites the community to share in the arts this December. The featured artists this month are their very own Heartland members. The members chose the theme of Time and you will be amazed at how they have expressed and interpreted this capacious theme in their varied works. The Open House is Sat., Dec. 7, 10-4. The exhibit will be up through the end of the month.

Our annual Christmas Raffle is taking place over the next week. We will be raffling off TWO lit 18” wreaths. All ornaments were made by Heartland artists with the holiday theme the 12 Days of Christmas and the wreaths are on display at the gallery until Saturday. Beautiful and colorful ornaments enhance the greenery and will delight any recipient who wins one of these. The tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and can be purchased at the Gallery Tuesday through Saturday 10-4. The drawing will take place during the Saturday Open House at 3:30 pm on Dec. 7.

Heartland_Time_2The Heartland Gift Shop is open and our artists have been busy. You will find a variety of one-of-a kind pieces such as stained glass, textile art, jewelry, greeting cards, pottery, ornaments, and much more. While any art in the Gallery can be purchased now and throughout the year, we set up another area for smaller artistic gift items just for the holidays. This is a wonderful chance to purchase unique, handmade gifts while also supporting local art and business.

The Gallery, in partnership with CTE Solutions, have created beautiful new artistic banners for the lamp posts in River Park Square. Stroll through River Park Square and enjoy peaceful and calming winter wonderland scenes created by the Heartland artists. The banners exhibit art from a variety of media such as pastels, photography, watercolor, oils, textiles, paper quilling and stained glass. The Gallery is grateful to CTE Solutions for their sponsorship of this project as we work to bring more public art to our downtown area.

Heartland_time_3Ladies Night Out is Thursday, Dec. 5 in downtown Plymouth from 5-8PM. Heartland will be one of the many businesses or organizations participating in this event for our community. We will be giving out artistically painted wine glasses and candle holders and holding a drawing for a free class. All you have to do is visit the Gallery.

Warm your creative soul this winter season through learning art! All are welcome to join! We have an average of 6 classes a month in varying media, and some classes can be scheduled to meet your needs. We believe everyone has talent, but most have not discovered it yet. Let the Heartland School of Art guide you toward artistic self-discovery!

Some of the programs that support our goal and mission are: Community Partnerships, Art in the Street Festival, Artist and Patron Memberships, Local Scholarships, Nine Featured Artists Exhibits, A Student Art Month, Public Art Projects and two Annual Fundraisers.
