College students and recent graduates of all majors who want to gain valuable experience by interning with the Indiana House of Representatives during the 2020 legislative session need to submit their applications before the October 31 deadline.
House Republican interns receive $750 biweekly compensation, with opportunities to earn academic credit through their school. These positions are full-time, Monday through Friday, lasting from January through mid-March at the Statehouse in Indianapolis.
Interns also work in the department aligned with their career goals. Students can apply for internships with legislative operations, communications and medial relations, policy and fiscal policy. Jordan said in a news release, “We are also seeking a hardworking law student to team with our chief counsel and staff attorneys who oversee all House proceedings as lawmakers draft and file legislation.”
