Lady Rockies fall in final regular-season match up
CULVER – The Plymouth Lady Rockies dropped their final contest of the 2019 season Thursday night at Culver Academy. The girls lost 6-4.
After trailing 4-0 at halftime, the Rockies made a desperate attempt to get back in the game. They scored four consecutive goals to get back to 5-4. But the Rockies gave up a late goal to make the final 6-4.
Scoring for the Rockies was Topanga Deon off an assist from Amber Schrameyer and Mia Wojcik off an assist from Aubrey Vervynckt. Vervynckt scored two goals, one off an assist from Madison Stiles.
The loss finishes the Rockie season with a 9-5-2 record. They host the IHSAA Sectional starting Monday night. The Rockies take on South Bend Washington High School starting at 6:00 PM.
The JV Rockies also fell victim to CGA Thursday night 3-2. Lauren Manges and Kaylee Dragani got the Rockie goals. They each assisted the other on their goals. They finish the year with a 6-7 record.
