Plymouth Fire, EMS and Police were dispatched to 2526 Western Avenue, American Container, Wednesday afternoon about 1:50 for a man who had fallen through the roof and landed about 25 feet below on a concrete floor.
Emergency responders were on the scene in minutes but the injuries sustained were too massive and the man died at the scene.
Marshall County Coroner John Grolich said 46 year old Oscar Gallardo Zarate of Muncie was working for 5 Star Commercial Roofing out of Huntington. He said the company had been working on the project for a few weeks and this afternoon Gallardo was backing-up moping tarring on the roof when he fell through a skylight to his death.
The cause of death has been ruled at blunt force trauma to the head. An autopsy will be performed on Thursday.
