The Marshall County Council approved the request of Ward Byers, head of Community Corrections to waive the 90 day pay reduction for a new employee. Sherry Platt has been with the Probation Department for two years and transferred to Community Corrections October 3rd. The 90 day probationary period will remain.
Superior Court I was asked to pull a new copier from their 2017 budget and seek an additional appropriation this year. On Monday, Rhonda Ferguson appeared before the County Council seeking support for the middle priced copier. Her recommendation was the Savan at $6,547 plus one option and the maintenance agreement bring the total to $7,857.27 from Adams Remco. The council was supportive but since the additional appropriation was not advertised they will take official action on the request at the November meeting.
