Plymouth Community School Superintendent Dan Tyree was granted approval from the school board to begin the hiring process.
Tyree said they have 9 retirements for next year and a couple of teachers have already given notice that they are moving and won’t be returning or the 2016-17 school year.
The Plymouth Schools will be hiring an elementary PE teacher and Music teacher, a new Building Trades teacher, and intermediate assistant principal and elementary special education teacher, three elementary teachers, 3 high school teachers and 1 intermediate teacher.
Board member Larry Pinkerton said, “Moving fast and getting an early start will allow us to get better quality people.”
Tyree said they would begin the process right after Spring Break.
