The Lincoln Junior High 8th grade boys basketball team traveled to Tippecanoe Valley on Wednesday, November 18 where they used a balanced scoring attack and high pressure defense to win 38-32.  Thomas Dolan scored 12 points, Tolman Mills scored 9 points, Kam Vanlue scored 7 points, Brady Hissong scored 6 points, and Grant Houin and Joe Barron each chipped in 2 points in the game.  Lincoln outscored Valley 19-9 in the second half after trailing by 4 at halftime.  The A-team is now 1-1 on the year and will play in a tournament at Northwood on Saturday, November 21.

In the B-team game Dylan Gamble scored 15 points but his efforts weren’t enough as Lincoln was defeated 42-38 in overtime.

Stifling defense led the Lincoln 7th grade A Team to a dominant 49-10 victory over the visiting Tippecanoe Valley Vikings on Wednesday night at the home of the Red Storm.  Jake Reichard set the tone early, taking the opening tip right to the basket for a quick two and led the Red Storm with 18 points on the night.  Collins Mills chipped in 9 points and Matthew Dobuck scored 6 points for the home team.  Kyle Johnson, Daniel Bacon, and Matthew Janus added 4 points each, Jaret Brown scored 3 points, and Owen Yoder fought through foul trouble to add a point to Lincoln’s total of 49.  Drew Harrell provided the defensive spark by stepping into passing lanes and getting his team out running in transition.  The Red Storm record is now 2-0 and they will be in action again this Saturday in a tournament at Northwood.

Hayden Hopple was dominant inside the paint with a team high 9 points as the Lincoln Red Storm B Team defeated the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings 23-16 at Lincoln Junior High on Wednesday night.  Grady Mahoney and Grayson Meadors added 5 points each to support the cause and Grant Whitmer and Aiden Rivera scored 2 points each for the Red Storm.  Graham Barger led the defensive front with 5 blocks and Peter Schumacher hounded the Viking guards all night, forcing turnovers that led to easy baskets for the home team.
