The County Commissioners are scheduled to begin at 9:30 in the second floor meeting room of the County Building. Agenda for the meeting includes opening bids for the Highway Department, a request from Sheriff Hassel to purchase a vehicle and consideration of a renewal contract with MACOG.
Gene Gray from the LEPC will discuss an Emergency Plan update and NIPSCO wants to discuss a bond request for Environmental Resources Management.
Also on the agenda is consideration of the Buggy Ordinance that will require animal propelled wagons and buggies to be licensed for operating on county roadways in Marshall County.
Bruce Smith from Redwood Road is also listed on the agenda under public comments. He continues to seek answers to his questions on road funding and decision making for road work. He is not happy with the decision this summer to take Redwood Road by his home back to gravel from a chip seal road.
The Commissioner’s meeting is open to the public and comments and questions are allowed.
