Bremen’s Water Superintendent, Alex Mikel has issues a precautionary “Boil Order” for a couple blocks of South Center Street that will go into effect on Wednesday evening.
Residents in the 500, 600 and 700 blocks South Center will have their water shut off completely for approximately 5 hours on Wednesday, September 9th beginning at 1 p.m. for scheduled maintenance. Once the water is restored, the Water Department will have to take samples to ensure the water is safe to drink, which could take up to 48 hours to receive confirmation.
During this 48 hour time period water used for cooking or drinking must come to a full boil for at least three minutes before using.
The Bremen Water department will make notification when the “boil order” is lifted.
