Marshall County will be under a Flood Watch beginning at 5 p.m. today and lasting through Wednesday afternoon July 11th at 5 p.m.

Remnants of Hurricane Beryl will travel across the northwest and northcentral parts of Indiana this afternoon.  Portions of northern Indiana, including Marshall County St. Joseph, Elkhart, Fulton, Lagrange, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Pulaski, and Starke Counties are included in the Flood Watch.

Marshall County could see 2 to 4 inches of rain which will cause flooding from the excessive rainfall.  Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

As a precaution, you should monitor the weather forecasts and be alert for possible flooding. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to act should flooding develop.
