The Maxinkuckee Singers’ “Mistletoe & Magic” Concert kicks off a week full of activities at The REES, 100 North Michigan Street, Plymouth. Their Saturday evening concert begins at 7 p.m. It will also feature a live nativity scene to promote the reason for this holiday season.

The Children’s Suzuki Violin Players will be returning to serenade attendees in the lobby. Bring your entire family to what is sure to be an evening filled with singing and hot chocolate.

A free will donation will be accepted by the Maxinkuckee Singers.

“The Grinch,” starring Jim Carrey, is the Family Sunday Matinee at 2 p.m. Inside a snowflake exists the magical land of Whoville, wherein live the Whos, an almost-mutated sort of Munchkin-like people who all love Christmas.

Just outside of their beloved town lives the Grinch, a nasty creature that hates Christmas and plans to steal it from the Whos, which he equally dislikes. Little Cindy Lou Who (Taylor Momsen) decides to befriend the Grinch. Rated: PG. Adult tickets are $5. Children 12 and under are free with an accompanying adult.

Tuesday, Dec. 12, “T’is the Season” concert features Andy Leftwich & Team at 7 p.m. Leftwich, a four-time Grammy-winning instrumentalist, began playing the fiddle at the age of six and began playing professionally at 15.

After joining Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, he completed a solo album. Leftwich has also recorded two critically acclaimed albums in the trio Three Ring Circle, and built an impressive list of studio credits, lending his talents to Steven Curtis Chapman, Keith and Kristyn Getty, Dailey & Vincent, and many more. This free concert is sponsored by the Grace Baptist Church.

Tickets for all three events are available online (reestheatre.com), at Fernbaugh’s Jewelry in downtown Plymouth, and at the door 45 minutes before the shows.
