A Syracuse man was arrested on Monday, November 27th at about 9:30 in the evening following a traffic stop at Michigan and Jefferson Streets.

Officer Schieber with the Plymouth Police Department conducted the traffic stop on a vehicle that was traveling south on Michigan Street for equipment violations.

During the officer’s investigation, the driver was identified as Shane Frank, 33, of Syracuse.  Mr. Frank did not have a driver’s license and was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he faces a criminal charge of Operator Never Licensed.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
