It’s another big week at the REES Theatre in downtown Plymouth and it all begins the day before Thanksgiving.

Start your Thanksgiving in style at the REES, 100 North Michigan Street.  Reconnect with friends, co-workers, and family on Wednesday, November 22nd with a concert by This Homemade Conspiracy.

Plymouth’s own This Homemade Conspiracy will be in concert, starting at 7:30 p.m.  This self-proclaimed “Small Town Band” performs a wide variety of covers, as well as their original songs. THC is the reigning REES “Battle of the Bands” winner and was featured at the Celebration of the Arts street festival in September. Tickets are $10 for general admission.

And the romantic comedy, “The Princess Bride,” will put the perfect finish on the family holiday weekend Sunday afternoon.

The Family Movie Matinee on Sunday is the 1987 Rob Reiner classic, “The Princess Bride.” This story involves a grandfather reading to his sick, bedridden grandson. The book has been passed down within the family for generations, but the boy is sure he won’t like the story since romance is at its core. But he discovers the two lovers may have lived happily after, but the courtship nearly killed them.

The all-star cast includes Billy Crystal, Mandy Pantinkin, Fred Savage, Christopher Guest, Peter Falk, Carol Kane, and Andre the Giant. Rated PG. Adults $5. Children 12 and under are free with an accompanying adult.

Tickets for both events are available online at reestheatre.com, Fernbaugh’s Jewelry in downtown Plymouth, and at the door 45 minutes before the shows.
