The Marshall County Commissioners will meet at 9:30 A.M. in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building.
The commissioners will conduct a bid opening for the lease of the County Farm Ground and Highway Superintendent Jason Peters will give an update on activities in his department.
The agenda also includes Annette Haining the Marshall County Tobacco Education Coordinator who will discuss smoke-free policies and education programs, and Sandy Dunfee from the Marshall County Health Department who is seeking a Memorandum of Understanding with Smoke-Free Policies.
Judge Dean Colvin, head of the Community Corrections Board of Directors will address the commissioners with a recommendation for a new director to replace Ward Byers who resigned in July. He will also present the 2024 grant agreement for approval.
Also on the commissioner’s agenda are the County Attorney’s Report, Auditor’s Report, Public Comments, and Commissioner’s Items. Under Commissioner Items is an agreement with J&M Services for providing electrical inspections while the County Building Commissioner is out on medical leave. They will ratify the emergency proclamation that enacted a Burn Ban on November 15th. The commissioners will also accept the nepotism and uniform conflict of interest disclosure statements and make an appointment to the ChoiceLight Board.
