Tuesday morning the Marshall County Election Board met in the Clerk’s Office of the County House to certify the November 7th Municipal Election.

There were no provisional ballots to consider.  A provisional ballot allows you to cast a vote if there is a question about your qualification to vote, for example, you are not on the poll book, which is not resolved by a fail-safe procedure and you believe you are qualified to vote in the precinct; or you have been challenged as not qualified to vote for example, you did not have photo identification.

With no provisional ballots, the Marshall County Election Board reviewed the numbers which did not change from election night, and certified the election.

The next meeting of the Marshall County Election Board will be Monday, December 4th at 8:30 AM.  This meeting has been called to conduct hearings for the campaign finance issues with Ginny Munroe and Bob Byers.

The Marshall County Clerk’s Office did confirm that Republican, Adam Faulstich has filed for Exploratory Committee for County Commissioner District #2.

The District #2 Commissioner seat is currently held by Republican, Mike Burroughs who announced his intentions to seek reelection over the weekend.  It is also the seat that Republican, Steve Gorski has filed an exploratory committee for.
