Thanksgiving is a time for family to come together and give thanks for the year but for some families putting food on the table for the festive holiday isn’t possible.

The Food Bank of Northern Indiana partnered with WNDU via their Turkeys on the Table Challenge to provide turkeys to families in need. The turkeys are free of charge and are first come, first served, while supplies last. The distribution is limited to one turkey per household.

Distributions are drive-through, and those who attend are asked to remain in their vehicle with their trunk open.

Turkeys will be available in Marshall County at two different locations this Wednesday, November 15th.  The turkey distribution is from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or while supplies last at Jane’s Park Playground, 600 Woodies Lane in Bremen.  This distribution is expected to serve 150 households.

Also on Wednesday, a turkey distribution will be held in Plymouth from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. or while supplies last at the pool parking lot in Centennial Park at 1660 North Michigan Street.  The distribution is expected to serve 250 households.
