The PHS Class Officers are hosting the annual Plymouth High School Veteran’s Day Ceremony this Friday, November 10th beginning at 7:30 with breakfast. Food is being donated by Bob’s Cafeteria, coffee by Biggby and the PHS Food Services is making coffee cake. While the breakfast is only for Veterans, the community is welcome to come to the program which will begin at 9 a.m.
The itinerary for the PHS Veterans Day Convocation includes breakfast which will be served in the Multi-Purpose Room by PHS Student Government members. Beginning at 8:30 the Varsity Gym will open for Veterans and guest seating with students being dismissed to the gym at 8:50.
Plymouth High School Principal Jacob Singleton will welcome everyone to the event and the Plymouth High School Crimson Connection will perform the National Anthem. Mr. Singleton will introduce Mayor Mark Senter, who will be making his last appearance at the Veterans Day Ceremony as Mayor of the City of Plymouth.
There will be a special guest speaker and the Crimson Connection will perform Battle Hymn of the Republic and the Pride of Plymouth Band will perform an Armed Forces Salute Medley with the Color Guard holding banners from the different branches of the military.
The event closes with a Wreath Laying Ceremony administered by PHS Senior, Allen Dodson of the Indiana National Guard and PHS Band member, Austin Ward playing taps.
