At about 9:30 Thursday evening, November 2nd, at approximately 9 p.m., a Plymouth Police Officer observed a vehicle driving recklessly at a high rate of speed, while traveling west on Jefferson Street near Third Street at over 60 MPH while crossing the railroad tracks on Jefferson Street.
The vehicle did not stop when the officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop until he was in the area of Beerenbrook and Madison Street.
During the traffic stop, officers identified the driver as 32-year-old Eugene Dovich of the 700 block of Seventh Street in Plymouth.
Dovich was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail for the criminal charge of Reckless Driving. Further criminal charges will be reviewed by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
