On Thursday, October 26, at approximately 6:00 PM a Marshall County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Deputy responded to the report of a vehicle in the ditch on 1st Road near King Road.
The K-9 Deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle, 42-year-old Andrea Buck of Bremen.
During the investigation, Andrea was suspected of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Buck was taken to the Plymouth Hospital for a chemical test and found to be over three times the legal limit of alcohol. She was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a Previous Conviction in the Last Seven Years as a Level 6 Felony and Operating A Vehicle With a blood alcohol content of .15 or More as a Class A Misdemeanor.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
