Sergeant Jordan Rans with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on Thursday, October 26th at about 5:30 in the afternoon.  The traffic stop was in the parking lot of the Red Rock Inn in Plymouth.

During the stop, it was learned that the driver, Shawna J. Riley, 49, of Plymouth was operating a vehicle with a license status of “Habitual Traffic Violator – Life.” She was taken into custody and lodged at the Marshall County Jail for a Level 5 Felony of Habitual Traffic Violator for Life.  Shawna’s cash bond was set at $1,500 and she was issued a Superior II court date of November 14th.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
