The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety approved the request of Kristi Nate to close the public parking lot at the southeast corner of Washington and Center Streets on Monday, October 30th.
Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer Lynn Gorski read the request that said, “I am requesting to close the parking lot on the north side of the old firehouse to ensure the safety of the children of the preschool while they participate in trunk-or-treat on Monday, October 30th. The parking lot will be closed from 8 a.m. until noon.”
His Small Wonders Pre-School is located in the old firehouse and has conducted this annual event for the last several years.

Mayor Senter commented that there is a construction trailer from A-1 Construction in the parking lot with a parking permit on it from the Plymouth Police Department. He said it’s been there for at least 2 weeks, and he said he would try and get it moved out for the trunk-or-treat event.
The Board of Public Works and Safety unanimously approved the request to close the parking lot.
Following the meeting, Debra Venti, owner of 215 North Michigan Street where a remodeling project is being completed said it was her contractor and she contacted him, and he will be moving the trailer.
