Officer Weir with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Sunday morning, October 8th at 8:40 at Jefferson and Third Streets. 

The Honda Accord was stopped for a traffic infraction and while speaking with the driver, 39-year-old Jose Marbin David Garcia of the 200 block of North Michigan Street, it was determined that he had never possessed a driver’s license. 

While being booked into the Marshall County Jail for Operating Without a License Mr. Garcia was found to be concealing suspected cocaine so he was also booked for Possession of Cocaine and Trafficking with an Inmate.  His cash bond was set at $10,000.    

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
