A traffic stop on Wednesday morning, October 4th at 12:26 ended with a Plymouth man being lodged in the Marshall County Jail. 

At approximately 12:26 a.m., an officer with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department performed a traffic stop on 5th Street at Jefferson Street in Plymouth for a traffic infraction.

The driver was identified as Jonathan Gadea, 23, of West Jackson Street in Plymouth.

During the investigation, the officer observed the driver exhibiting signs of alcohol intoxication.

Mr. Gadea was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and Operating a Vehicle Without ever Receiving a License. He was held on a $1,500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
