On Sunday, September 24th, at approximately 4:45 in the afternoon, an officer with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department performed a traffic stop on State Road 10 near Queen Road in Culver for a traffic infraction.
During the course of the traffic stop the officer discovered that the driver, 38-year-old Ronda Kay Cudney of Rochester, was in possession of narcotics. She was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of paraphernalia. Her cash bond was set at $1,500.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
