On Saturday, September 23, the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a 911 call of a possibly impaired driver in the 12,000 block of Michigan Road at about 5:20 in the afternoon.
Marshall County Officers responded to the call and found John B. Mooney, 46, of Fir Road in Mishawaka unconscious in the driver’s seat.
It was discovered that John B. Mooney had been drinking. After a certified Breathalyzer test, it was found that John B. Mooney had a BAC of 0.219. He was booked into the Marshall County Jail on a $1,500 cash bond for Operating with a BAC of .15% or greater.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
