Officer Balsley with the Plymouth Police Department arrested a man for Battery following an investigation at the Economy Inn on Sunday, September 19th.
At about 4:15 Sunday afternoon Marshall County Central Dispatch received a call advising that a female had been battered at the Economy Inn. Prior to officers arriving, the male fled the scene.
Officers with the Plymouth Police Department investigated the battery but were unable to locate the male in question at the time.
The suspect was 42-year-old Jeremy J. Clayton of Osceola. At about 5:17 in the evening, officers were called back out to the Economy Inn where they located Clayton.
Clayton was transported to the hospital for jail clearance and then to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked in for Battery-Serious Bodily Injury, Public Intoxication, and Disorderly Conduct and held on a $3,000 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
