As a Plymouth City Council At-Large candidate on the Republican ticket, Kayla Krathwohl, brings significant experience to local government. Her local government work began in 2019 in the Fulton County Auditor’s Office where she was responsible for transferring deeds, taking deductions, accounts payable, budgets, receipts, and ordinance resolutions. In 2021 Kayla was hired as the Settlement Deputy for the Marshall County Auditor working regularly with local units, townships, schools, and libraries in tax distribution. In this role, Kayla has attended County Council and Commissioner meetings gaining insight into the deliberations and decision-making in local government.
Kayla’s work experience began at the age of 15 and since that time, she has held increasingly responsible positions in sales, customer service, and finance in local small businesses. Now in local government, she will bring those qualities as a member of Plymouth City Council.
If elected, Kayla will advocate to keep the community safe, apply common sense when evaluating city projects, balancing future developments that compliment our city’s natural beauty, promoting economic development that best serves our area, and above all, listening to the community’s voices – your voice.
A native of Argos, and a life-long resident of Plymouth, Kayla earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Indiana University South Bend in 2009. She is an active member of Plymouth Trinity United Methodist Church where she serves on the Staff Parrish Relations Committee, Vacation Bible School, and the Kids Club programs. Kayla’s faith, and dedication to serving her family, church, and community are the mainstays in her life.
