The Marshall County Council meets on Thursday morning at 9 in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building.

During their regular meeting, they will hear a quarterly report from Sandy Garrison, director of the Marshall County Museum. Highway Superintendent Jason Peters will seek an additional appropriation for the Community Crossings projects and Sheriff Mat Hassel is seeking an additional for Central Dispatch. The Council will consider a request for ARP Funds to purchase a Stryker Expedition Power Stair Chair with the support of the commissioners and ARP Committee.

Also on the agenda are additional and transfers of appropriations along with ordinances amending the job descriptions and salary ordinance.

The County Council will then conduct a public hearing for the 2024 budget. This will be the point in the budget process where council members will make the necessary cuts to create a balanced budget.

The Council meeting is open to the public and streamed live on the county’s website at www.co.marshall.in.us .
