Plymouth Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Lincoln Junior High on Tuesday, September 5th for the report of a Felony theft.

Arriving in the area, city officers observed the suspect flee into a residence. A short time later officers were able to make entry into the residence.  They took 43-year-old Joseph Cummins of the 800 block of Lincolnway East into custody.

Cummins was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked for Theft, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  He was held on a $1,500 cash bond. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
