Purdue Extension will be hosting a local workshop focused on food preservation. Individuals can attend to learn more about preserving food safely at home.
The workshop will be on Thursday, September 21st from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Unity Garden in South Bend, 3701 Prast Blvd. South Bend.
The topic of the day will be “Boiling Water Bath Canning” and will feature a lecture, hands-on practice with equipment, and a take-home product made that day.
Individuals will learn how to use boiling water bath canning equipment, the safety of canning, and be able to ask questions.
The cost of the workshop is $30, and seats are limited.
