On Saturday, September 2, at approximately 5:50 p.m. the Marshall County Dispatch received a call of a domestic battery between a male and female in the 6,000 block of State Road 17 in Plymouth. 

Deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department arrived on the scene and observed a female with marks on her neck. The Deputy was then escorted inside the home by the victim to speak with the suspect.

The suspect was later identified as 29-year-old Joshua M. Hostetler of Plymouth.  He was taken into custody and booked into the Marshall County Jail for Domestic Battery with a cash bond of $505.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
