MACOG has been working with the City of Plymouth for about 10 months on the Plymouth Forward 2040 Plan. If you call Plymouth your home, you are encouraged to give the steering committee feedback!
To shape the future of Plymouth, the 2040 Comprehensive Plan will be a guide that focuses on the growth of Plymouth for the next 20 years.
The steering committee wants to know what goals the citizens want to be implemented in Plymouth over the next 5 years to make the city a more desirable place to live and work.
There are three core values the committee and initial rounds of public engagement defined as aspirations for the Comprehensive Plan, well-being, collaboration, and growth. Building on these core values, the committee has outlined numerous goals and the public is being asked to help prioritize them.
The next step is to formulate a Priority Action Plan. This plan will encompass the top goals and corresponding action strategies, and the public’s input will be instrumental in this process. Residents will have the opportunity to participate by completing a brief online survey or engaging with committee members on Thursday, September 7th at city hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or at the Latino Festival on September 16th.
The engagement process will conclude in mid-September, and the steering committee to refine the plan based on the feedback received.
