Officers from the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to 1921 North Michigan Street, the area of Planet Fitness Saturday afternoon, August 26th just after 3:30 for a female lying on the sidewalk and kicking the store’s windows.
Officer Krynock was first on the scene and the suspect, 28-year-old Jasmine Perry of North Grand Street in Lakeville, had left the area. A witness said she had also been throwing items at parked cars.
Jasmine Perry was located at the Country Charm Laundromat. As police officers attempted to make contact with her, she attacked them and resisted arrest.
Jasmine Perry was transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was lodged for Battery to a Public Safety Official, Resisting Law Enforcement, and Disorderly Conduct and held on a $1,500 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
