The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department received a call of a single-vehicle accident between a car and a pole in the 6000 block of Plymouth-Goshen Trail at 7:43 Sunday evening.
Responding deputies were told the male involved in the accident was walking away from the crash. He was stopped by Bremen Police Officers and identified as Troy L. Bowman, 42, of the 4400 block of East Shore Drive in Bremen.
The officer’s report states that Troy Bowman had been drinking and was taken to the Plymouth Hospital for a certified test. He had a blood alcohol content of .16%. Mr. Bowman was treated and then taken to the Marshall County Jail where he was charged with a felony for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident along with Possession of Marijuana.
Mr. Bowman was given a court date and a cash bond of $1500.
