On Thursday, August 24, Detective Sgt. Johnathan Bryant with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department located a male suspect with a felony warrant in the area of 12th Road and King Road.

The suspect, 36-year-old Gary Beatty of Kenilworth Road in Argos was known by Detective Bryant to have an active felony warrant for his arrest. 

Mr. Beatty was also found to be possessing suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia. He is currently incarcerated at the Marshall County Jail with no bond on the warrant and a $1,500 cash bond on new charges of Possession of Meth and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed.  They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
